There is currently no good mood around World of Warcraft. Slowly but surely, the contents of Patch 9.0 are exhausted for many players. The changes to the sale of game time have put some off and Patch 9.1 is still a long way off. All of this affects the mood - but now there is a glimmer of hope.

The Blizzard Community Manager Bornakk announced in the official WoW forum:

"Now that we've left Patch 9.0.5 behind, we'd like to take a moment to update you with the latest information on Patch 9.1 for Shadowland. In about two weeks we'll be the chains of domination for you on our test server (PTR) All information about raid testing will follow about a week after the PTR is online.

There will be a slew of new content for Chains of Dominion, so your trial and error will continue to play an important role in the process of developing this update. We can't wait to present the new patch to you and look forward to your feedback. "

After inside information leaked that we could not play Patch 9.1 until August in the worst case, players now have at least an approximate schedule, whereby the word "about" (about 2 weeks) could mean more than two weeks. This news is not really reassuring.

Beyond the launch date of the update, Blizzard promises a "wide variety of content to test." For the record, Patch 9.1 must notably continue the campaigns of the Congregations, as well as the narrative framework of the extension articulated around the relationship between Anduin and Sylvanas. A new area is also due to open (Korthia, City of Secrets), and players will now be able to explore Shadowlands on the back of flying mounts. As usual, the Patch promises above all new instances: the Tazavesh dungeon with its eight bosses, and the Sanctum of Domination raid (which will lead to confronting Sylvanas), in addition to an update of the Tower of the Damned (in particular of new floors).

 Patch 9.1 is called Chains of Domination and is the first major content update for the latest World of Warcraft expansion, Shadowlands. The following new content is planned and presented at Blizzcon 2021:

•     New story campaign
•     New territory in the throat
•     new raid
•     Mythical mega dungeon
•     New wing for Torghast
•     Flying is unlocked in the Shadowlands
•     New levels of fame, mounts and cosmetic items

Advance notice is strange: What is special is that Blizzard is now announcing the patch two weeks in advance, before the PTR even goes live. With this, the developers are probably addressing the displeasure and negative mood that currently prevails. There is now a lot of speculation that Patch 9.1 will no longer appear before summer. An announcement that Patch 9.1 will be released soon, at least on the PTR, is a glimmer of hope.
