power leveling-3.2 Patch: Huge Resilience Buff Is the Best PVP Change Ever

I felt like breaking my monitor after my Firefox crashed for the first time in months power leveling, I lost my 2 hour plus draft 2AM in the morning. I am not sure how I went that long without saving even once, I usually save a lot. For those of you using Firefox (65% of you reading Gameriot), check out Lazarus form recovery, I wish I did before clicking submit.
After the idea was suggested many months ago here on WOM, and S7's even higher damage across the board, Blizzard finally accepts the inevitable and gives resilience a much needed buff.  With 800 resilience, you get 10% flat damage reduction from players IN ADDITION to -10% crit chance and -22% crit damage, that is a lot of damage reduction of power leveling!
With this change in place, everyone will have to gear for the 800-1000 resilience range, and you will see a lot less PVE gear in arena. Gems, enchants and trinkets will all shift toward resilience as well. Sure, hardcore raiders will continue to have access to certain best-in-slot items, but full PVP gear will be more competitive than ever before and it is great news for the casuals. S7 should increase damage across the board by 7%, resilience change will increase damage reduction by 10-12%, net effect should be around 5% damage reduction, but coupled with everyone going lighter on PVE gear, heavier on resilience, the final net damage reduction should be around 10%. Doesn't sound like much? The real impact is much bigger. Last week we lost exactly one game out of twenty in 5v5. Our mage casted a fire blast right as the enemy team swapped to him, he died during the global, never had a chance to block. That is an extreme example, but how many times being able to live just 1-2 second longer would allow you heal back up to full? Blizzard said too many games are coming down to literally one global in which the player /healer must pop his defensive CD or die, they want to add 1-2 more global to that, and that is exactly what the resilience change will do. 10% damage reduction will increase the length of 3v3/5v5 games by a lot more than 10%. How many times you are less than 5% away from dropping someone, only to watch him healed back up to full 2-3 global later power leveling? I really believe Blizzard hit the sweet spot here.
